Potluck Dinner - Friday, February 9th at 6:45 pm.  Temple will provide chicken, wine and soda, you bring a non-dairy dish, vegetarian dish or dessert.  Services to follow at 8:00 pm.

Potluck Dinner - January 19th

Join us on January 19th at 6:30 pm for our monthly potluck. This month, you bring a dairy soup, casserole or vegetarian side dish or dessert.  Temple will supply wine and bread.  All are welcome.  Please bring a dish that feeds at least 6 people.

Winter Adult Education Lectures with Alan Zarrow

Join Temple congregant Alan Zarrow as he starts off our winter Adult Learning Education series with a lecture on The John Wilkes Booth Escape Route:  Through the modern Maryland countryside, relive the intense days of the search for President Abraham Lincoln's murder.   Lecture to be held on January 23rd at 7:30 pm in the Temple community room.  $10.00 per person.  Check to be made payable to Temple Beth Emeth. 

Alan will also give a lecture on February 20th, Arlington National Cemetery - Not Just the Military Famous:  Find out who and why!.  Again, 7:30 pm in the Temple community room.  Check to be made payable to Temple Beth Emeth.

January 20 – Understanding and coping with anger productively
·       What is anger?
·       What are your triggers?
·       Changing your experience of anger
February 3 – Improving communication skills: speaking so your child will listen/listening so your child will speak
·       Active Listening
·       Positive speech (I messages)
·       Putting them together
March 10 – Teaching Pro-social skills
·       Why teach skills
·       To reward or not reward, that is the question
·       How to reward effectively, if you choose to reward
Come to one, two or all 3…each workshop is stand alone
Workshop Leader: Robin Bass, MsEd.  a retired Special Education teacher, worked for over 30 years, dealing with behavior disorder/impulsive/oppositional students from kindergarten through high school. A staff developer and teacher trainer specializing in Conflict Resolution and Positive Behavior Support

Preregistration Prices are $5.00 for children,  $18.00 for adults
This price is only available through Thursday, Dec 28
Price at the door for adults will then be $23.00
Children’s price will remain
It is imperative that you preregister, in order for us to have a meal for you, as we wish to be able to feed everyone, and make this event a great success
