All-Ages, All-Night Shavuot Shul-in
7 pm – blintz-making and food for everyone (dessert and snacks). Food, coffee, and soft drinks will be available all night.
8 pm – Havdallah with Cantor Suzanne Bernstein, D. Mus.
8:15-9:45 pm – Adults: text study; Teens: Movie; Activity; Pre-K-2nd grade: Activity
10 pm to 2 am – Adults and teens: Storytelling workshop with instructors from The Moth; 3-5th grade: Movie; Pre-K-2nd grade: Sleeping time.
2:15-3 am – Adults and teens: exercise for relaxation and stimulation – Karen Karopkin; All other kids (and some teens and adults if desired): Sleeping.
3:15-4:15 am – Adults and teens: Jewish game show – Michael Rose
5-6 am – Adults and teens: Learning with Liz Fisher
6-6:30 am – Wrap-up. Pickup time for kids whose parents have left.
10:30 am – Shavuot morning services with Yizkor at Progressive Temple Beth Ahavath Sholom, followed by a light lunch (no charge).
Additional information: No, you do not have to stay the whole night. Yes, you may bring air mattresses, sleeping bags, etc. Parents of children in 4th grade or older may leave them overnight.
