Bibliodrama - Toward New Understandings of Biblical Stories.  

Bibliodrama is a method of immersing ourselves in characters from the Torah to find new insights into familiar stories.  We will explore characters from Genesis.  Rabbi Hoover will lead this class.  Oct. 25, Nov. 15 and 29, Dec. 13 and 20, from 7-8:30 pm.  Five sessions, $10/session or $45 for all five. (Community Room).

B'Yachad:  Together Discussion for Adults.  Led by Rabbi Hoover.  Some Saturdays at 9:45 am, adults of our community gather to discuss topics of interest.  We learn more about each other and explore our various responses to the events in our lives and the world.  (Banquet Hall).

Cooking Workshop—Gravlax: What it is and how to make it, with Saul Radow.

Additional Adult Education opportunities include the Sisterhood sponsored Brunch and Lecture Series held on monthly Shabbat mornings that are open to all. While the bagel brunch does not fulfill the definition of education, the lectures certainly do as they cover a broad spectrum of interesting and thought provoking topics. Check the Temple website for dates and topics.

Cost is $10 per Temple member and $15 per non member.

TBE Book Club is hosted by members in their homes to discuss books with Jewish themes or Jewish authors.

Torah Study of the Torah portion of the week with lively discussion and debate (and often laughter.

There are three opportunities each week: Tuesday at 1:00 pm taught by Sam Silverman and on Friday evenings at 7 pm or Saturday mornings at 10 am taught by Rabbi Hoover. Check the Temple website events page for the week by week schedule. Our Torah study notices (including the weekly parasha) are also posted on the Temple Facebook page.

Shiurim (Study Sessions): occasional lessons/discussions on Jewish topics. Past Shiurim have included sessions on holidays, current events, and ethical issues.Check the Temple calendar for dates.

Other opportunities include Israeli Dance led by Faigee Sash, on Monday evenings at 7:30 pm. $10 per session (first class free).

Taoist Tai Chi taught by Maggie Lee, Thursday evenings at 6:00 pm. Tuition to be arranged per student.
